Sew Simple started with humble beginnings in 1977 selling little known Italian Necchi domestic sewing machines in a Canberra shopping arcade and after a very rocky start grew to what we are today the largest full-service sewing equipment supplier in Canberra and a major supplier to the embroidery industry both in Australia and in New Zealand.

We quickly moved on to represent Swedish Husqvarna domestic machines and Brother domestic and industrial sewing equipment in the Canberra region. In 1988 Sew Simple became the top domestic dealer for Husqvarna domestic sewing machines in Australia and started our interest in computerised embroidery.
